About the Job
As an assistant chef in Xendit, you will be responsible for managing staff meals production for approx more than 150 pax per day, lunch, and additional requests. Each meal time we will have to provide different menus everyday which are Indonesian, Western and Asian. You will be working with 2 helpers and 1 chef. The area you will be involved in all areas of kitchen operations — from food preparation, cooking, plating, to maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the entire production process. You will be expected to be able to produce stable and better quality even if the number of production increases. In addition to food preparation, you will be responsible for ensuring strict food hygiene and sanitation practices, including proper food storage, personal hygiene, cleaning routines and compliance with food safety standards. A clean, safe and organized kitchen is essential to your daily responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Diploma or SMK in culinary AND minimum of 1 year of experience working in a food production
- You are happy doing all kitchen work from menu cooking and cleanup
- You care a lot about health and food safety
- You work well independently, without any guidance
- You get along easily with people of varying backgrounds/education
- You communicate well across teams, in both English and Bahasa
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferably male
- The strongest candidates will have worked:
- in a events & catering company
- in a restaurant that serves more than 50 guests in a sitting
