The Foreman (Field Services Manager) is the engine of our field operations. You execute the schedule the Project Manager builds, get crews out the door right each morning, keep the trucks and equipment running, keep the shop stocked, and stay on the road making sure the work is done at a high level. This is a hands-on, operations-heavy role - roughly 70% field-based and 30% shop administration - reporting to the Project Manager.

Job Responsibilities

1. Lead a crew of Environmental Field Services Specialists and Field Quality Managers.

2. Open the shop early, lay out the day's schedule, and run a daily 10 - 15 minute crew meeting covering the schedule, expectations, and safety.

3. Get crews out the door on time and properly equipped for the day.

4. Scan and submit completed Work Quality Sheets to the Project Manager, verify and approve time sheets.

5. Drive to job sites daily - audit work behind the crews and confirm quality meets Valor standards and client expectations.

6. Be on call for crews throughout the day - equipment issues, builder questions, and field problems; escalate major issues to the Project Manager.

7. Own day to day fleet health - keep the maintenance log current (miles, hours, service), schedule repairs and downtime, and stay ahead of breakdowns.

8. Order and stage materials for the shop and for job sites (rock, dumpsters, BMP materials, etc).

9. Retrieve rentals, handle repairs, and manage the miscellaneous tasks that keep our operations moving.

10. Watch for and correct safety hazards on job sites; reinforce safe operation of all equipment.

11. Help source and hire laborers as needed.

12. Maintain the shop and material/equipment yard - keeping it clean, organized, and free of hazards.

13. Operate company machinery and vehicles with care, reinforce Valor culture with the crews.

14. Additional duties as assigned.
