The company builds high-temperature gas reactors that use helium cooling and TRISO fuel to generate heat and energy for applications beyond traditional electricity grids. Its approach centers on deploying clusters of small modular reactors in large-scale sites, referred to as “gigasites,” where multiple units operate together to deliver consistent and scalable energy output. Rather than focusing solely on grid electricity, Valar Atomics targets grid-independent uses, including hydrogen production, data center power, heavy industrial energy, and the creation of hydrocarbon fuels from captured carbon dioxide.
