The Rainmaker talent acquisition team is a key facilitator of company growth and success by hiring the right talent at the right time across the full spectrum of business functions--Science, Engineering, Operations, Business Development, and more.
We are seeking an efficient and adaptable first Recruiting Coordinator to support our talent acquisition team by taking ownership of the logistics side of our interview funnel, streamline processes for greater velocity, and proactively look for ways to improve candidate experience. Ideally this person will also have a desire to learn and grow into a full-cycle Technical Recruiter

What You'll Do

  • Own the interview scheduling process end-to-end for all candidates across the organization, from first screening to final onsite interviews
  • Constantly find and implement new ways to automate and streamline coordination and interview processes
  • Act as a point of contact for candidates throughout the interview process to answer questions, provide information on upcoming interviews, and handle rescheduling as needed; always communicating with the highest professionalism both internally and externally
  • Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders for calendar management and scheduling needs; learn the nuances of different processes and interview preferences for different teams (eg: Operations versus Engineering)
  • Serve as a day-of interview ambassador for final onsite interviews in our El Segundo headquarters; greeting candidates, helping with parking, getting them set up in their rooms, and making introductions to the hiring team, plus walkouts
  • Ensure that all interviews and candidate communications are documented properly, confidentially, and in a timely manner within our systems; and maintain the accuracy of interview calendars across the company (we use Lever and G Suite)
  • Support the Recruiting team on special projects as needed, such as candidate experience initiatives or campus recruiting

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Recruiting Coordinator supporting a variety of business functions within an organization simultaneously OR 2-5 years experience in a role involving heavy scheduling/logistics and communications with internal and external stakeholders (eg: executive assistant or scheduling coordinator)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both high-value external customers and internal executives
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to create new systems to handle a high volume of concurrent processes without compromising customer service
  • A track record of making improvements to existing systems and/or streamlining processes for a better customer experience and higher efficiency
  • Willing to work full-time, onsite in El Segundo, California (no exceptions or hybrid work)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Recruiting Coordinator within an early stage startup (Seed-Series C), and a history of supporting highly technical teams
  • A background of building scheduling/logistics processes from scratch in a new company, or as the first hire in your role
  • Prior experience with Lever, G Suite, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Calendly (or similar scheduling app)--experience with other ATS such as Greenhouse is good too!
