Rainmaker is pioneering a modern cloud seeding system to solve water scarcity and inclement weather problems. We develop and incorporate radar validation, weather-resistant UAS, numerical weather modeling, and sustainable cloud seeds into an effective precipitation enhancement solution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all accounting functions, ensuring the smooth operation of monthly closing processes and delivering precise financial reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
- Establish, document, and deploy accounting procedures to govern accounting and financial activities, including implementation of new accounting standards
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable team, establishing efficient processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Build and lead a team to support scaling operations
- Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits, providing necessary documentation and information related to inventory, cost of goods sold, and R&D spending. Ensure compliance with audit requirements
- Ensure accurate recording and reporting of stock-based compensation expenses
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in general accounting, cost accounting, financial operations, or financial analysis
- CPA License
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong desire to build systems and processes vs. operating within established ones
- CPA designation with a strong knowledge of GAAP
- Previous startup experience preferred
