Join our inclusive engineering team at Grab, where your work will be at the core of our mission to positively impact hundreds of millions of lives daily. We're motivated by a passion for innovation, especially in enhancing our Payments SDK, which handles core capabilities like Pre-Transaction, Transactions, etc. As part of our team, you'll contribute to consumer and partner-facing features, and your code will quickly reach a vast audience. Get to know the role

As such, we are seeking experienced & passionate Engineers to join our team, As part of Grab's payment's team you will be responsible of designing, delivering and maintaining high quality and scalable solutions to meet the payments needs of Grab. You will be reporting to Engineering Manager II

Workplace Type: This role will be onsite and based in the Bangalore office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform:

• Architect scalable, high-performance backend systems using a platform-driven approach
• Mentor a team of software engineers, encouraging a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Collaborate with teams to define technical strategies and feature specifications
• Make high-level design decisions and establish technical standards for software development
• Optimise system performance, reliability, and efficiency across the product ecosystem
• You provide technical guidance and conduct code reviews to ensure best practices.
• Partner with DevOps teams to enhance system scalability and operational efficiency
• Stay current with latest technologies and industry trends to lead innovation within the team

Qualifications

The Essential Skills You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years focused on designing and building scalable systems
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and networking
• Proficiency in at least one backend programming language Golang
• Extensive experience with backend systems, including databases, caching, NoSQL, and application servers
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring engineering teams
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated leadership in driving technical decisions and defining engineering standards
