Job Description
Get to Know the Team
Our team operates at the intersection of partner experience, platform reliability, and release execution. We manage DevHome and the operational systems that support partner onboarding, access, documentation publishing, and partner-facing product releases across mobile and web surfaces.
This team focuses on more than feature development. A large part of our work is making sure critical platforms remain stable, secure, and operationally efficient. That means managing incidents, improving deployment safety, maintaining infrastructure, and building automation that removes manual work from daily operations.
As part of the team, you will work closely with various departments, including Engineering, QA, Release Train, PM, BD, Legal, and Operations. Your collaboration will focus on keeping launches moving and ensuring that partner-facing platforms are reliable at scale.
Get to Know the Role
As a Senior TechOps & Release Automation Engineer (G4), you will lead the operational health and release readiness of DevHome and related partner-facing platforms. This is a hybrid engineering role for someone who enjoys solving operational problems with code, improving reliability, and taking ownership across the full platform lifecycle.
You will help keep systems production-safe, supporting partner onboarding and access workflows, managing release execution for Android and iOS, and driving automation across operational processes. You will span application support, infrastructure maintenance, incident response, deployment safety, and internal tooling. You will report to the Tech Support Engineering Manager and onsite in the Jakarta office based.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Manage end-to-end DevHome operations, partner onboarding support, and release execution from intake through post-release verification.
- Manage Android and iOS release activities, including cutoffs, submissions, phased rollouts, cherry-picks, rollback readiness, and release tracking.
- Resolve operational escalations related to partner access, login issues, onboarding blockers, scope or configuration requests, and documentation publishing flows.
- Make safe production changes across Go services, React/Docusaurus surfaces, configurations, secrets, tokens, and developer documentation.
- Maintain Terraform-managed AWS infrastructure, GitLab runners, CI/CD pipelines, and other reliability-critical operational tooling.
- Investigate and respond to production incidents using Datadog, Kibana, and system-level troubleshooting to resolve performance, latency, and partner-helping issues.
- Support infrastructure lifecycle work such as AMI rotation, EC2 and Docklet maintenance, backend scaling, and migration to MEKS.
- Develop automation, scripts, and internal tools that reduce manual effort across release management, approvals, assessment, and partner operations.
- Contribute to on-call readiness, RCA follow-ups, SOP improvements, and runbook maintenance.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners to unblock launches and keep platform operations moving smoothly.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in TechOps, DevOps, SRE, release engineering, platform support, or similar operational engineering roles.
- Go (Golang) skills, with the ability to safely navigate and modify a large shared monorepo.
- Comfortable working across both application and operations layers, including code, infrastructure, CI/CD, secrets, documentation, and production troubleshooting.
- Experience with release operations, production change management, feature rollouts and mobile app releases.
- Troubleshooting judgment, with the ability to assess growth, identify root causes, and lead issues through to resolution independently.
- Working knowledge of GitLab, Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and AWS, including practical knowledge of Route53, Security Groups, runners, compute lifecycle management, and safe infrastructure changes.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes/EKS, with experience in Helm charts, service-mesh-style networking, namespaces, staged migrations, or MEKS/Kubernetes migration work.
- Trigger, debug, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab pipeline troubleshooting, release automation, and deployment workflows such as Conveyor or similar tools.
- Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), token flows, HMAC, and secret management, especially for partner-facing API platforms.
- Experience with HashiCorp Vault or equivalent secret and token management systems.
- Familiarity with React and Docusaurus to maintain partner portal UI and developer documentation workflows, even if your core strength is in backend or operations engineering.
- Experience investigating operational issues using Datadog, Kibana, logs, and production telemetry.
- Experience building internal admin tools, workflow automation, approval systems, Slack bots, or similar operational tooling.
- Partner management skills and empathy, with the ability to bridge engineering systems and operational needs across BD, Legal, Ops, partner engineering teams, and external developer contacts.
- Experience supporting external-facing partner or developer platforms, including canary or phased rollouts, production hardening, post-mortems, runbook creation, or mentoring team members.
