Get to Know the Team
The Country Business Development and Partnerships team is responsible for growing Grab's new businesses, securing collaborations with partners who have objectives aligned with Grab's, and supporting the growth of Grab's existing businesses. We support the majority of Grab departments in sourcing for and negotiating with partners, with the objective of onboarding them into numerous Grab business projects and marketing campaigns, and gradually converting partners into Grab clients. The team is the main point of contact between Grab and external parties
Get to Know the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Business Development for our Business Development and Partnerships team. We're looking for someone who is keen to become an expert on all things Grab—knowing and having used Grab's different products and businesses—and has natural analytical and cross-team coordination skills, which, when paired with their being a Grab expert, would help them navigate negotiations. If you believe you have what it takes, we'd love to meet you!You will be directly reporting to the Country Business Development and Partnerships Lead. You will be based onsite at our Ortigas office with flexible work arrangements.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Craft and execute partnerships with a focus on securing monetisation, business optimisation, and brand growth opportunities for Grab. These may occur and shift mid-negotiation with partners, so you would need to quickly become an expert on all of Grab's B2B and B2C products, as well as the projects and plans of the different Grab business teams.
- Help execute deals by working with multiple local and regional Grab teams and external partners.
- Monitor performance of partnerships and report Key Performance Indicators (KPI) achievements periodically to the Country Business Development and Partnerships Lead.
- Pro-actively coordinate with teammates to create and share best practices using common resources.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Have at least 3 years experience in accounts management or similar relevant experience
- Can efficiently track multiple projects' statuses and execute simultaneously
- Are comfortable working under uncertain situations and shifting priorities
- Are able to quickly shift a pitch towards a new direction mid-negotiations
- Are familiar with contracts and can preliminarily review a contract's commercial terms
- Are comfortable presenting to executives
- Have working knowledge of Google Suite.
