Get to know the Role
We are looking for a Senior Solution Specialist, People Systems to enhance Workday solutions across Compensation and Core HCM. You will be the subject matter expert for these areas, partner with stakeholders to solve system and process issues, and help deliver scalable, effective People Systems solutions. This role is ideal for someone with strong Workday functional knowledge, hands-on configuration experience, and the ability to support continuous improvement across People processes.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform:
- Be the subject matter expert for Compensation and Core HCM processes and solutions
- Support change requests, enhancements, and issue resolution across Workday modules
- Perform essential system administration functions, including configuration, security management, complex report configuration, and bulk data processing.
- Manage system life cycles by assisting in the review, testing, and implementation of new features, fixes, and releases.
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, identify gaps, and recommend solutions that meet our needs.
- Drive process improvement and innovative solutions, proactively identifying opportunities for automation to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Develop user procedures, guidelines, documentation, and training to ensure effective adoption of new processes and functionality.
Qualifications
The must haves skills
- 5+ years of Workday experience with strong hands-on knowledge of Core HCM and Compensation.
- Experience supporting at least 1–2 Advanced Compensation cycles or launches.
- Experience with Workday configuration, business processes, testing, and UAT.
- Strong hands-on experience with Workday reporting, analytics, EIB, and security administration.
- Experience in requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, and solution design.
Really nice to have skills
- Experience leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, analysis, and solution delivery.
- Experience in additional Workday modules such as Recruiting, Security, Peakon, or Journeys.
- Experience supporting change management, training, or release readiness activities.
- Experience working with regional or cross-functional stakeholders in a complex organisation.
- Knowledge of audit and data privacy requirements in enterprise systems.
