Get to Know the Role

We are looking for a claims leader to oversee our Accident & Health claims portfolio. The primary focus of this role is on Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) claims, alongside selected non-WICA products. These products include innovative microinsurance offerings underwritten by GrabInsure. You will be working onsite at Grab's One-North Headquarters. You will report to the Regional Head of Insurance Operations.

One of the key roles that you will perform will be to ensure that you enhance and do not degrade customer care and experience through the adoption of the latest technologies and processes.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Own the end-to-end governance of GrabInsure's Accident & Health claims portfolio, with a strong focus on WICA claims and selected non-WICA products
  • Handle claims in line with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and agreed service standards.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, including claims trends, leakage, fraud indicators, reserving practices, and operational risks
  • Own and continuously improve claims governance frameworks, controls, reporting, and oversight processes
  • Manage and mentor a growing team of internal and external claims executives.
  • Own and manage relationships with third-party administrators (TPAs) and external vendors, including service performance, SLAs, KPIs, and operational reviews
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with vendors and internal support teams to improve turnaround time, controls, and customer outcomes
  • Handle complex or sensitive claims escalations and customer complaints with sound judgment and timely resolution
  • Partner with Product, Operations, Commercial, Legal, and Compliance teams to support new product launches and operational initiatives
  • Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and broader governance processes across the claims function
  • Keep abreast of industry developments and emerging regulatory expectations relevant to Accident & Health claims

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Accident & Health claims, including strong hands-on experience in WICA claims
  • Deep knowledge of the Singapore WICA claims and recovery process, including regulatory requirements, market practices, and emerging trends
  • Significant managerial and leadership experience in claims operations
  • Experience setting up, improving, or transforming claims processes, ideally with a digital or technology-enabled lens, including claims automation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across internal teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders
