Get to Know the Team

The Mobile team is dedicated to providing users with tools for imagery collection and processing on mobile devices. Our impact lies in helping our map-making users deliver accurate and up-to-date information about real-world locations. Our team includes mobile engineers working on iOS and Android apps for both consumer devices and custom IoT hardware, alongside web and backend developers handling the project.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build our imagery-collection and processing mobile applications and the systems around them. This is a platform-agnostic, AI-first role. We care more about your high-quality software across whatever surface the problem lives on.

You will be onsite and will report to the Head of Data Science, Geo Mapping based in the Cluj-Napoca office.

Qualifications

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will build mobile features end-to-end — primary iOS, secondary Android — overseeing them from design through production.
• You will work AI-first: take spec-ready tasks to review-ready MRs with agentic workflows, and lead the quality of AI-assisted output so no "slop" ships.
• You will solve the hard, performance-critical native problems: video capture/playback (WebRTC), map rendering, and on-device video compression, download, and storage.
• You will collaborate across mobile, web, backend, upholding architecture, testing, and CI/CD standards — and improve by reviewing others' work and mentoring.
• You will stay current with tools and methodologies and bring them into our development practices.

What Skills You Will Need

• Engineering fundamentals and code review — the judgment to tell good output from plausible-looking output and keep AI "on rails."
• AI-first delivery — production work with AI-assisted/agentic tooling, accountable for correctness, quality, and risk.
• Mandatory native iOS knowledge, plus platform-agnostic build ability and native depth in perf-critical areas (video/WebRTC, map rendering, media compression, Wi-Fi/BLE).
• Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge and eagerness above all — plus solid architecture, testing/CI/CD, and enterprise-scale experience.
• Collaboration: Share knowledge, working across departments, and supporting team goals.
