The Communications team is responsible for telling the Grab story around the world. It will drive Grab’s growth by promoting and protecting its brand and reputation, ensuring its position as the leading online-to-offline mobile platform in Southeast Asia.
Whether it's speaking to media and online influencers, industry commentators, thought leaders or the wider community, the Communications team is the voice of Grab.
Get to know the role:
The Vietnam Communications Lead is passionate about Grab’s mission and will manage the company’s perception among the government stakeholders and the public in Vietnam. The role spans corporate and policy communications, and you will have experience developing communications strategies that are at the intersection of local regulatory policies, community issues, and the company’s business goals.
We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of working with senior country stakeholders from business, marketing and public affairs teams to create and execute creative, integrated campaigns, while leveraging our positive impact to develop the Grab story in Vietnam.
You will have a strong understanding of the media landscape in Vietnam and will build and maintain relationships with key contacts pivotal for the business. Experience with managing crises and issues is advantageous.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Develop and execute comms plans to position Grab as a Vietnam’s leading super app, and to grow Grab’s core businesses
Lead comms for projects that span corporate actions, business partnerships, and regulatory advocacy
Pre-empt and manage the response to issues or crisis
Provide communications counsel to internal business leaders on announcements and internal policy changes
Manage media and KOL programme, and build and maintain strong working relationships with them
Analyse metrics to determine the output and value of PR results and use the data as a critical planning tool
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
12-15 years experience: Corporate reputation management, policy communications, crisis management, media relations, integrated communications, data storytelling
Experience managing teams and diverse cross-functional stakeholder relations, including senior business leaders, in ambiguous environments
Self-starter who is motivated by hands-on, challenging work, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Excellent writing in Vietnamese and English, strong project management, and result-oriented
