Get to Know the Team

Your team is dedicated to improving libraries, frameworks, CI pipelines, and test automation tools for backend services. As we embark on the journey towards agentic development, we focus on evolving our processes to ensure that we create software with AI that meets the same as that which humans create. Our team spans a broad spectrum of expertise, offering you to select the sub-team and projects that align with your interests and skills. We value collaboration, innovation, and mutual support, driving the productivity of all our fellow tech Grabbers.

Get to Know the Role

As an intern with the Code Build Test (CBT) team, you will help shape and improve the tools that support all backend developers at Grab. Depending on the project, you may collaborate with Grabbers from multiple teams, promoting innovation and encouraging an environment of mutual support. You will influence the technical direction of our projects, contributing to the success of our engineering capabilities. Our team operates across three locations in South East Asia. You will report to the Senior Software Engineering Manager.

You will work onsite from our Petaling Jaya office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will contribute to software written in Golang.
• You will engage with users to gather requirements, propose improvements, and provide technical support to solve their challenges.
• You will collaborate with the team to ensure our tools align with evolving project needs and industry standards.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You can be a good coder in any language, but willing to work on Golang.
• You have interest in processes to enhance the development experience: GitHub or GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, linters, static analysis tools, test automation frameworks, Docker, Nix.
• You have interest in software architecture, design patterns, and system design.
• You have an ability to write detailed technical documentation.
• Experience communicating updates and resolutions to all partners.
