Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our dynamic team in Bangalore, India. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and scaling robust automated testing frameworks that ensure our applications are reliable, stable, and continuously improving. You'll collaborate closely with developers and product teams while mentoring other engineers in adopting best practices in test automation across backend, fullstack, and mobile domains. • Design and implement comprehensive automated testing frameworks and scripts that validate end-to-end performance and functionality for backend services, frontend applications, and mobile platforms
• Evaluate, refine, and optimize testing tools, processes, and methodologies to enhance functional, security, and performance testing capabilities
• Develop and maintain structured testing plans that cover functionality, system performance, security validations, and edge cases while ensuring broad coverage and clear insights
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams to embed automated testing strategies that improve deliverable quality and meet technical standards
• Provide mentorship and training to engineering teams in adopting and scaling automation practices, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards
• Lead simulation and stress testing initiatives to measure system stability, response times, and behavior under high traffic or variable load conditions
• Analyze test metrics, results, and coverage data to identify gaps, optimize test scenarios, and drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies
• Advocate for product quality by interpreting user needs and designing test cases that reflect real-world scenarios and customer expectations
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate on improving deployment processes to ensure quality at every stage

Qualifications

• Required Skills and Experience:**
• 4+ years of hands-on experience creating, scaling, and maintaining automation test suites for backend and frontend systems
• Proficiency in designing and writing test scripts using languages such as Python, Golang, or Java
• Strong expertise with test automation frameworks including Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, Go Test, or comparable tools
• Demonstrated ability to debug and troubleshoot automated testing systems and identify root causes of failures
• Solid knowledge of stress testing tools and simulation testing for evaluating system stability under varying traffic conditions
• Experience with backend, mobile, and frontend testing paradigms that support multiple engineering scopes
• Proven track record of training and mentoring engineers in automated testing frameworks and best practices
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline integration and test automation within continuous deployment environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically about testing strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Preferred Qualifications:**
• Exposure to AI-powered testing tools and latest technologies that enhance automation workflows
• Experience with test metrics, reporting, and data analysis to drive quality improvements
• Knowledge of performance testing and load testing methodologies
• Familiarity with agile development practices and test-driven development (TDD)
• Experience in a fast-paced, distributed team environment
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience mentoring junior engineers
