Get to Know the Team

Grab Indonesia's Social Media team sits under the Marketing team and manages Grab's owned social channels end-to-end—from content planning, publishing into performance insights. We partner with vertical teams to support their goals on social, while strengthening Grab's brand proposition as a technology company that does good for the country.

Get to Know the Role

As an Assistant Manager (Social Media Strategist), you will own multiple workstreams. You will translate business needs into clear social plans, covering content direction, KOL/influencer collaboration, social media orchestration, and execution discipline from briefing to post-mortems. You will help raise quality and speed through stakeholder management, performance-driven iteration, and repeatable workflows that reduce rework and improve delivery consistency. You will report to the Manager, and will be based onsite in our Jakarta Office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Build social-first strategies that translate into executable plans (channels, formats, cadence, creative routes).
  • Drive end-to-end execution across: intake/brief → plan → production → approvals → publishing → post-mortem; manage scope, dependencies, risks, and escalation.
  • Create and apply quality gates (pre-publish checks, approvals log, complete handovers) to minimize rework and publishing errors.
  • Produce meaningful insights: connect performance to "what happened / why / next actions," and iterate based on data patterns.
  • Demonstrate innovation by proposing new ideas and building lightweight processes that improve speed and quality (e.g., briefing templates, trend response workflow, QA checklists).
  • Ensure brand safety and cultural sensitivity, flag risks early, and use community feedback loops to inform future content decisions.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • 5+ years in social media strategy/content strategy (brand or agency).
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree from any major.
  • Experience working with creators/KOLs or UGC programs (as part of portfolio evidence).
  • Ownership of end-to-end social delivery and campaign planning (brief → post-mortem).
  • Proven analytical experience with applicable recommendations: Comfortable reading performance data beyond vanity metrics
  • Experienced in managing multiple stakeholders & external partners/agencies, driving working-level alignment across multiple stakeholders by clarifying objectives, scope, timelines, inputs, and trade-offs

  • Ownership Proof – 1–2 end-to-end deliveries you led (with quality/timeline evidence)
