Get to Know the Role

The Senior Network Engineer is expected to be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) covering network technology deployment and support. The role is required to participate in developing network strategy, standards, technology roadmaps, and network deployments. On top of this, this role is also expected to have strong exposure into public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) operational knowledges as well as tooling development skills. This is an onsite role based in Jakarta. You will be reporting to the IT Network Manager.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Global Infrastructure Lifecycle Management: Direct the design, deployment, and maintenance of resilient enterprise network architectures across multiple regions, leveraging top-tier hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet) and modern SD-WAN, WLAN, and VPN technologies.
• Strategic Project & Cloud Integration: Lead large-scale infrastructure initiatives, including office builds, expansions, and seamless integrations with AWS, GCP, and Azure to ensure scalable and high-performing hybrid-cloud connectivity.
• Architecture Standardization & Governance: Develop comprehensive reference architectures and design principles that align with enterprise standards, ensuring all networking solutions are secure, documented, and integrated through rigorous Change Management processes.
• Operational Excellence & Incident Leadership: Spearhead complex problem-solving and service restoration efforts to minimize downtime while managing ISP and vendor partnerships to ensure successful site launches and service delivery.
• Automation & Continuous Improvement: Drive organizational efficiency by developing custom operational tools and automating manual processes, while fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical optimization across the GTS teams.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Expert Network Engineering & Architecture: Over 5 years of experience managing large-scale enterprise environments, specializing in the end-to-end design, implementation, and troubleshooting of routing, switching, and SD-WAN solutions across global sites.
• Advanced Security & Wireless Integration: Proven expertise in deploying industrial-leading security frameworks (NGFW, VPN, WAF) and large-scale Wi-Fi architectures, utilizing access layer security protocols like Cisco ISE and ClearPass to ensure robust network integrity.
• Multi-Vendor & Cloud Proficiency: Highly skilled in integrating on-premises infrastructure with AWS/GCP cloud environments, with extensive hands-on experience across top-tier vendors including Fortinet, Juniper, Cisco, Zscaler, and F5 Load Balancers.
• Automation & Modern Tooling: Proficient in network automation and observability, leveraging Python, Ansible, and REST APIs alongside AI-driven development tools (Cursor, Claude Code) and monitoring suites like SolarWinds, Grafana, and Zabbix.
• Strategic Leadership & Communication: Certified professional (CCNP/JNCIP level) with a track record of managing senior stakeholders and articulating complex technical concepts into actionable business solutions within fast-paced, high-compliance sectors like Financial Services.
