Grab's Group Business Development team executes Grab's most intricate and impactful partnerships. You will work with global corporate partners to build collaborations that enhance their business offerings and positively influence customer lives through Grab.
About GrabMaps
GrabMaps is Grab's emerging B2B enterprise business. Drawing from Grab's experience navigating Southeast Asia's complex terrains, GrabMaps provides the data, tools, and intelligence businesses need to optimize operations and enhance discovery in the region's most challenging environments.
You will join a team accelerating growth in this new domain, contributing from strategy to execution.
Get to Know the Role
You will join the Group Business Development team to build GrabMaps' client pipeline and strategic partnerships, developing and executing our Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy.
You will lead on the ground, managing internal and external relationships and projects that may be non-standard in nature, with unique or broader possible effects across cross-functional business verticals and product teams.
You will define important target segments — ranging from automotives and logistics to ride-hailing and urban planning. You will drive deals end-to-end from commercial negotiation to closure, and maintain relationships at senior levels of large corporate institutions. This requires experience in building a SaaS or DaaS (Data-as-a-Service) sales pipeline and developing GTM strategies for technical products.
You should demonstrate critical thinking, project management, and cross-functional collaboration to run programmes across diverse businesses. You will report to the Head of Maps Partnerships, Group Business Development & Strategic Partnerships Director.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will Identify key target accounts for B2B sales, close deals, and maintain a sales pipeline to hit revenue targets for GrabMaps.
- You will design and propose value-based solutions for prospective clients, managing delivery alongside the GrabMaps Product and Engineering teams.
- You will co-develop the Go-To-Market strategy for GrabMaps, providing field inputs for long-term strategic roadmaps.
- You will create and own a data-driven sales process and manage internal coordination to ensure the smooth delivery of the mapping suite.
- You will develop partnerships and alliances to accelerate GrabMaps' growth and data density regionally and globally.
- You will prepare and deliver regular business reviews covering progress, roadblocks, and solutions to increase regional adoption of GrabMaps.
- You will collaborate with other teams to provide customer feedback from the field, helping shape the GrabMaps solutions roadmap.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 5-8 years of experience in SaaS/DaaS sales and/or strategic partnerships. Experience in the geospatial or Automotive sector is an advantage.
- Proven track record in the full sales lifecycle, from cold-start pipeline generation to closing high-value Enterprise contracts.
- Experience launching or scaling a technical product in a new market, specifically defining segments and pricing models.
- Proficiency in CRM hygiene and using data to forecast revenue, identify bottlenecks, and optimize conversion rates.
- Ability to translate sustainable opportunities and client pain-points into recommendations for senior leadership, and into requirements for Product and Engineering teams to ensure the solution is both feasible and scalable.
- Deep understanding of the Southeast Asian business landscape, including localized negotiation nuances and the unique mapping challenges of the region.
- Business-standard oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin to negotiate with senior stakeholders and partners in markets where Mandarin is the primary business language.
- Experience managing multiple high-stakes integrations with precision amid ambiguous requirements and shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with leveraging AI technologies to optimize sales workflows, enhance productivity, and drive internal innovation.
