The Strategic Finance team shapes Grab's financial strategy for sustainable, profitable growth—partnering across departments to provide operational and financial analysis, strategic planning, and decision support to senior management.
Get to Know the Role
Join Grab's Strategic Finance (Deliveries and GAAP) to support end-to-end financial forecasting and analytics for the Deliveries P&L and cash flow. You will be a launchpad for broad commercial exposure and technical finance skills, and it also involves capital allocation.
You will report to our Head of Deliveries Strategic Finance and based onsite in our office in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Co‑own and maintain segment‑level P&L and unit‑economics models for Deliveries (GMV, take rate, costs).
- Improve forecasting frameworks for main P&L lines and for working capital, tax, and capex under GAAP.
- Run scenario and sensitivity analyses to measure impacts of strategic plans, pricing/cost changes, and new business bets.
- Use SQL/Python and visualization tools to condense large datasets into clear financial narratives and applicable insights.
- Analyze trends, variances, and anomalies; prepare monthly performance and quarterly performance packs and build dashboards—using AI to improve visibility and workflows.
- Support budget planning for the Deliveries segment, translating business targets into Net Income and Adjusted Free Cash Flow forecasts.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Education and experience: Bachelor's in Finance/Accounting/Economics and minimum 2 years in FP&A, corporate finance or consulting — preferably in tech, e‑commerce or platform businesses.
- Technical skills: Proficient in data analytics and visualization tools (SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI), comfortable applying AI tools and handling large datasets independently.
- Accounting and modeling: Familiar with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and experienced building P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and unit-economics models.
- Business mindset: Curious about how the business works and focused on identifying levers to improve unit economics across markets.
- Collaboration and process mindset: Energized by building scalable processes, willing to challenge the status quo, work with Operations and Finance, and present concise findings to senior management.
