The event team is a dynamic, team that specializes in producing impactful and engaging events that improve Grab's brand and with key stakeholders. We are experts in event logistics and technical production, and are committed to delivering seamless and cost-effective event experiences.

Get to Know the Role

The Event Assistant Manager plays a critical role in supporting the planning events from start to finish. Working with the Event Manager, you will ensure that all event components—strategy, operations, vendors, and on-ground execution—are well-coordinated and delivered. We are looking for someone who is, proactive, and able to manage multiple moving parts while. You will be expected to take ownership of key workstreams, anticipate challenges, and ensure every event runs smoothly, even under pressure. Reporting to the Manager, you will be based in our Jakarta Office.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • End-to-end event planning: concept, timeline, budgeting, and execution
  • Stakeholder alignment: coordinate with internal teams to align goals and expectations
  • Vendor management: source, negotiate, and oversee production/logistics partners for quality and cost control
  • Operational planning: develop detailed run-downs and maintain clear documentation/communication flows
  • On-ground execution: lead workstreams (registration, stage, backstage) and troubleshoot issues
  • Project management: track timelines, milestones, and dependencies across multiple concurrent events
  • Quality assurance: ensure deliverables meet standards and coordinate seamless cross-team operations
  • Post-event evaluation: support reporting, identify gaps, and recommend improvements for future events

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Have a minimum Bachelor's Degree from any major
  • 5+ years managing large-scale, high-profile events
  • Fluent English (written and verbal)
  • Proven Project Management Skills with previous experience in managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Composure: Calm under pressure, comfortable with tight deadlines and rapid changes
  • Mindset: Proactive, hands-on ownership with solutions-oriented approach
