Get to Know the Team

The Merchant Strategy Team is now finding a teammate to join our motivated team on this rocketship with the mission to empower merchants with economic opportunities while making lives easier for all Thais. Our team operates with consumer centricity, growth mindset, and intellectual rigor. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for shaping the future of GrabFood. You will have a chance to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty from time to time while overseeing strategic cross-functional projects with close interaction with top management.

Get to Know the Role

  • As a senior leader on the team, you will lead the overarching strategy to build selection difference through the GrabThumbsup and "Only at Grab" programs.
  • You will manage a high-performing team to accomplish your vision of differentiating our core MEX selection through targeted branding and strategic operations.
  • You will pioneer the overarching business strategy and project management for the launch of Local Life, an exciting horizontal content discovery capability within the Grab ecosystem, starting with the Food discovery use-case.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Leadership & Strategy: Define the north star for GrabThumbsup, delivering valuable business insights, vision, and high-level recommendations to top management to lead market leadership.
  • You will lead the end-to-end project management and commercial strategy for the Local Life content discovery feature, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize ROI.
  • You will act as the primary strategic node, steering cross-functional alignment across Marketing (MKT), Commercial, and Public Affairs (PA) to ensure your team's initiatives translate into measurable business impact.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • PASSION in the F&B industry; from street food to casual café & restaurant to premium food to social sellers; from Bangkok to upcountry markets.
  • 5+ years of experience at a management consultancy firm, top-tier tech company, or fast-paced working environment with a focus on overarching business strategy, P&L ownership, and complex project management.
  • People management experience: able to lead, mentor, and empower direct reports (such as GTM leads) to achieve high-impact results.
  • Strong conceptual thinking: Able to ask structured questions to solve complicated problems. Turn questions into insightful answers and solid working plans.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management, communications, and presentation skills are required to align diverse cross-functional teams and influence senior leadership.
  • Advanced data analytics: Able to extract high-level insights from raw data, build strategic cases, and guide your team on execution.
