Get to Know the Team
At Grab, we are driving the next phase of growth by expanding our network of F&B merchants and enhancing omnicommerce solutions. This team is the engine of our expansion, focusing on acquiring new partners for services such as Dine-Out Deals, Reservations and Loyalty. This commercial role plays a pivotal role in identifying opportunities and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience for new merchants entering the Grab ecosystem.
Get to Know the Role
As part of the GrabFood Commercial Malaysia team, you will identify and build relationships with F&B merchants to drive the adoption of Grab's innovative services. Reporting to the Sales Team Leader, you will work with potential partners to implement acquisition strategies that align with Grab's goals. Your role will involve sourcing high-value leads, managing sales pipelines, and onboarding merchants onto platforms such as Dine-Out Deals and Reservations. You will work in Petaling Jaya, onsite, and may require travel to outer cities.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Merchant Acquisition & Onboarding
- Identify and secure partnerships with high-value F&B merchants to lead volume and growth for Grab's omnicommerce services.
- Reach out to key market players through cold calling and networking to close deals.
- Help with onboarding new merchants, ensuring a smooth transition into Grab's ecosystem and setting them up for success.
- Drive the use of services including Dine-Out Deals and Reservations.
Lead Generation & Pipeline Management
- Independently source strategic F&B leads to maintain a healthy and sales pipeline.
- Update the daily sales pipeline systematically to ensure accurate forecasting and goal progression.
- Demonstrate experience maintaining an organized and up-to-date pipeline of opportunities in understanding processes and tracking work.
Strategy Execution & Market Insights
- Implement acquisition strategies and initiatives effectively to meet team and organizational goals.
- Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities to provide actionable feedback and insights.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia (proficiency in Mandarin is preferred).
- Visionary mindset with a passion for exceeding set targets and achieving success.
- Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects, and convincing sales pitches.
- Proven ability to prioritize a high-volume pipeline and meet the schedule without sacrificing quality.
- Collaborative mindset, thriving in a dynamic, high-growth setting while engaging with people naturally.
