The SNP team (Search and Personalization) is a Grab tech family focused on product discovery: ensuring great search, ranking, and personalized experiences across the app.We partner with Food, Mart, Dineout and cross‑vertical discovery to help users find what they want quickly and accomplish outcomes

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for an experienced and experienced Software Engineering Manager II, Mobile to join our dynamic team in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. You will lead and inspire a team of mobile developers, driving innovation and excellence in our mobile app development projects. You will work onsite in HCMC and report to the Senior Engineering Manager.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• Manage a team of mobile developers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and new ideas
• Oversee the full mobile app development lifecycle, from concept to launch and post-release support
• Collaborate with multiple teams to develop mobile app strategies aligned with our goals
• Establish and maintain best practices for mobile app development, including coding standards, architecture, and performance optimization
• Lead the planning multiple mobile projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery and high-quality outcomes
• Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Stay up-to-date with the latest mobile technologies and industry trends, recommending and implementing new tools
• Work with product managers and UX designers to create intuitive and engaging mobile experiences
• Manage app store submissions and ensure compliance with platform guidelines
• Analyze app performance metrics and user feedback to lead continuous improvements

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on mobile development experience with both iOS and Android platforms
• 3+ years of engineering management experience, demonstrating leadership and mentoring skills
• Proficiency in mobile programming languages such as Swift, Kotlin, and Java
• In-depth knowledge of mobile app architecture, cross-platform development frameworks, and UI/UX best practices
• Experience with Agile methodologies and experience leading Agile development teams
• Expertise in version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with successful mobile app launches and ongoing performance optimization
• Experience with app security, data protection, and compliance requirements
• Experience providing engineering support to customer support team to resolve any critical customer issues
