The Outbound Communication team develops high-throughput solutions that allow the delivery of transactional and marketing messages, including push notifications, emails, SMS, and more, to millions of users, while also improving in-app communication experiences. Get to know the role
We are looking for a Software Engineer in Test to contribute to our customer-facing products used by millions of users across 8 countries. You will work across multiple backend service clusters and frontend stacks to ensure product quality. Your responsibilities include writing and executing automated tests, performing manual quality assurance checks when needed, troubleshooting software issues, and implementing automated testing strategies and tools. You will also own, track, and drive quality processes (e.g., postmortems, on-call) for the team. You will report to the Engineering Manager based in Vietnam. You will be based in HCMC, and you will work in the office
Qualifications
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Provide functional and regression level testing for API, and Mobile Applications.
- Execute manual and automated functional and regression test cases and develop and maintain automated Test Scripts.
- Work with developers, product owners, test lead, engineers, and team members to identify areas and methods to help drive testing efficiencies and expand test coverage, and increase product reliability.
- Provide test estimates, record, and report defects to depict the status of the sprint and system stability.
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 2+ years of experience as a QA Engineer/Automation Engineer or Software Development Engineer.
- Solid understanding of test methodologies, test planning, test case design, and test processes. Ability to debug failed test cases and report defects.
- Have hands-on coding experience with test automation, including script languages (Python) or other languages (Javascript, Go etc.) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber.
- Practical experience with SQL for database queries on metrics and testing.
- Experience using build and release pipeline tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent.
- Have experience engaging with AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, improve workflows, and contribute new ideas.
