Get to Know the Team
The Governance Team is responsible for establishing and maintaining the framework of policies, procedures, and standards that guide the organization's operations and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. Team members play a critical role in supporting the organization's governance objectives by promoting transparency, accountability, and integrity.
Get to Know the Role
You will lead multiple process improvement projects with direct exposure to senior executives, serving as the principal adviser on process excellence across all departments. You will partner with the leadership team to identify key improvement areas, develop business strategies and integrate recommendations with other initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to lead meaningful change and make a visible impact across the organization. You will report to the Process Governance Manager.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Conduct process reviews and control testing to assess design and operational effectiveness, while identifying control gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support process mapping, documentation, and standardization across business units, maintaining and enhancing governance frameworks, SOPs, RACIs, and process inventories.
- Work with team members to ensure resolution of issues, coordination on governance standards, and support for audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
- Help prepare governance reports and presentations for management, providing data-driven recommendations that inform decision-making.
- Continuously monitor process changes to ensure risks and controls remain up-to-date, while constructively challenging existing practices when appropriate.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in business consulting services
- Experience review end-to-end process flows, identify risks, evaluate control design and effectiveness, and perform control testing, internal control evaluations, and process walkthroughs.
- You consistently produce accurate, well-documented work that translates complex processes into clear governance structures, using tools like flowcharts, RACIs, and SOPs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact professionally with cross-functional stakeholders and deliver concise, insightful, and well-structured governance reports.
- Strong project management skills, able to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines, while applying data analysis and reporting expertise to support decision-making.
