Get to Know the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Manager, New Business Growth & Special Project to drive the incubation and scaling of new business opportunities. This role will be pivotal in identifying, validating, executing, and scaling up initiatives that diversify revenue streams and strengthen our ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a builder—able to connect strategy with execution, analyze data to find opportunities, and work cross-functionally to grow and scale up new business.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Evaluate new business opportunities through market scans, customer research, competitor benchmarking. You will support the design of pilots and measuring product-market fit before scaling.
- Build financial models, revenue projections, and business cases to support growth decisions, and develop go-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and incentive structures.
- Drive commercial partnerships and negotiations with telcos, fintechs, banks, FMCG companies, and merchants. Work with cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance) to launch and scale new initiatives.
- Monitor KPIs, run growth experiments, and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize performance and adoption through gamification, community-driven adoption, and targeted incentives to build stickiness.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- You have Heart, Hunger, Honour, and Humility.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or a related field.
- You have at least 3+ years of experience in handling mass market acquisition and retention, business strategy, business operations, business development, project management, or a similar field.
- Strong business acumen with proven analytical ability to build business cases and able to execute.
- Experienced in managing projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams, with strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and data analysis tools (i.e: Power BI, SQL).
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial, and comfortable working in ambiguity with limited guides.
- Experience in tech, fintech, FMCG, telco, or startup ecosystem is preferred.
