Get to Know the Team

The Regional Payments team oversees, shapes and drives the strategy and growth initiatives of funds movement for the Grab ecosystem across Southeast Asia. We are at the heart of digital innovation, focused on simplifying payments through secure, seamless solutions like card payments, e-wallets, and digital banking. The team drives decision-making, ensuring major initiatives generate the maximum value for the Grab ecosystem - both in driving down costs or generating incremental revenue.

Get to Know the Role

You will own end-to-end reconciliation of settlement reports and transactions, ensuring accuracy and resolution of discrepancies; act as the key contact for payment operations, addressing and resolving queries from internal teams and external partners; oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory and audit reports to ensure compliance with requirements from regulators and payment partners; drive the enablement and optimization of payment solutions to support evolving business needs; and lead continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and incident management within the payment operations domain, with the role based onsite in Petaling Jaya and reporting to the Head, Payments Acquiring.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Own the reconciliation of settlement reports and transactions processed by Grab, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Serve as the primary contact for payment operations, addressing and resolving queries from internal teams and external partners with efficiency and clarity.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory and audit reports, ensuring full compliance with requirements from regulators and payment partners.
  • Drive the enablement and optimization of payment solutions to support evolving internal business needs and initiatives.
  • Lead continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and incident management efforts within the payment operations domain.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Has 2+ years of working experience and foundational knowledge of payment operations, settlement processes, and related financial workflows.
  • Self-driven and accountable, with the ability to thrive in cadence-based responsibilities and own end-to-end deliverables.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven track record in driving initiatives, managing projects, and coordinating across cross-functional teams.
