Get to Know the Team

The Singapore Public Affairs team drives strategies and advocacies, prioritises partnerships and orchestrates Grab's engagements to support matters related to public policy and Singapore's national agenda. It also supports Grab Singapore's engagement, including supporting senior leadership based in Singapore, with the Singapore government, community stakeholders and the public policy community, and partners with Grab teams to address emerging regulatory, reputational and political risks related to Grab's businesses and services.

Get to Know the Role

You will report to the Head, Public Affairs, Singapore and play an important role in supporting the Singapore Public Affairs team on compliance matters and Grab's engagements.

You will support various business verticals across mobility, deliveries, financial services, and gig economy by planning events and managing engagements with public stakeholders. Your role includes ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating government and community interactions, and conducting research on public policy issues that may impact the business.

You will be based onsite at our One North office in Singapore.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Ensure regulatory compliance by coordinating with internal teams on licensing obligations and submitting necessary product/service notifications.
  • Respond to government stakeholders' queries, including information requests and feedback or complaints.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate public affairs initiatives, campaigns, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Manage event logistics, coordinate with stakeholders, and oversee related budgets and procurement.
  • Support public affairs strategy by analysing policy issues and developing action plans in collaboration with local and regional teams to advance Grab's social mission.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • At least 2 years of experience in public and government affairs in Singapore in either government, public policy, and regulatory roles. Fresh graduates in related disciplines are welcome to apply.
  • Passionate about making a positive impact in the community and on public policy issues.
  • Demonstrates initiative with a versatile mindset when solving challenges. Capable of being effective in high-pressure situations and quickly adjusting to shifting conditions.
  • Work well in a team, with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Well-spoken with a structured approach and a strong focus on accuracy
