Get to Know the Role
As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you'll manage complex, cross-functional programs that span Grab's Tech and Operational teams. You'll be the bridge between business and engineering, ensuring seamless delivery of new features that enhance everyday experiences for our users. You'll define roadmaps, guide delivery, and improve processes using a data-driven approach—all while embracing and advocating for Grab's culture and principles. You will report to the Lead Technical Program Manager. You will be based fully on-site in Jakarta office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Drive roadmap planning and prioritization with Product, Engineering, Design, QA, Analytics, and other functional leads.
- Advise on and navigate complex issues that span tech, business, and product domains.
- Own delivery for large, cross-org programs and act as an advisor for a broader portfolio.
- Facilitate technical whiteboard sessions and remove blockers to keep projects moving.
- Collaborate with other TPMs to manage project timelines, track progress, and report status—ensuring delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Continuously identify and implement ways to improve delivery efficiency.
- Manage cross-functional communications and resolve executive-level escalations with sensible judgment.
- Efficient in doing process optimisation and scale it
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- 10+ years of experience in Program Management; technical foundation is an added value.
- Experience managing projects related to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills to excel in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Experience to work independently in dynamic settings, juggling multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Agile is an added value; however, a flexible and pro-active mindset is more valuable.
- Experience leading teams of Senior TPMs or advising on technical solutions is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to simplify complex problem and drive clarity.
- Comfortable working with distributed teams across geographies.
- Experience in product delivery is a bonus.
