Get to Know Our Team:
The Market Insights Team helps shape strategic and operational decisions in the company by providing compelling insights into industry developments, market movements and competitive dynamics in the various businesses that Grab operates - namely transport, food, payments, and platform services. Get to Know the Role:
The day-to-day activities:
Synthesise insights from the broader team and develop a strategic view of the external business environment to help shape key stakeholders' perspectives.
Co-develop long-term initiatives to increase/ sustain the organisation’s advantages.
Co-develop the team’s coverage scope to ensure insights are always accurate, relevant and timely.
Co-develop the team’s methodologies to track market trends to ensure they are reflective of latest market conditions
Explore new data and qualitative intel sources to gain insights on the market and competition
Drive and maintain a high-performance company culture by challenging critical business assumptions and encouraging cross-functional collaboration.
Provide a sounding board to senior leaders in the organisation to add an external dimension when considering initiatives against wider company objectives.
Coach and mentor junior members of the team.
Interpret competitive trends and market activity, using critical thinking skills to "connect the dots"
Maintain strong stakeholder relationships, interacting with individuals across various seniority levels
Oversee and provide guidance on data collection processes
Work with the Tech team to build scalable solutions on monitoring competitor activity
Qualifications
At least five years of experience in a management consulting or tech industry is preferred
A dedicated leader who displays Heart, Honour, Humility, and Hunger
Passionate about solving complex and ambiguous problems
Intellectually curious - voracious in the consumption of available information, relentless in searching for new sources, and constantly striving to derive additional insights.
Comfortable with failing and possesses the drive to keep trying
Critical in thinking and with a sharp eye for detail, while retaining the ability to maintain a strategic perspective
Energetic and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment
Strong in communication skills (both written and oral)
Comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative analysis, with financial modeling experience as a plus
Capable of working effectively within a cross-functional team; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential
Familiarity with the Indonesia ride-hailing and food delivery industries
Ability to speak Bahasa & English
