Get to know the team

The Deliveries team is a vibrant and dynamic team responsible for the growth of the GrabFood and GrabMart businesses. We make an impact by enabling more earning opportunities for tens of thousands of merchant- and delivery-partners in Myanmar. The Deliveries team is made up of over 30 Grabbers distributed across 3 functions: merchant acquisition, account management, and merchant operations. Get to know the role

This role reports to the Head of Deliveries and is responsible for merchant acquisition and improving merchant onboarding experience. We believe a successful candidate has a balance of strategy, operations, stakeholder management, and team leadership, but if you believe you have what it takes then we’d love to hear from you either way. This role is required because we are expanding our merchant base and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience. In return, you will have the opportunity to contribute significantly to our business growth, work with cross-functional teams, and further develop your professional skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • You will identify and implement initiatives to drive merchant onboarding for GrabFood & GrabMart, in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • You will oversee the merchant onboarding process, ensuring a smooth experience and effective activation for all merchant partners.

  • You will be responsible for end-to-end acquisition and onboarding of merchants partners, from lead generation, to activation, and to merchants serving their first order to Grab users

  • You will develop relationships with potential key merchants for strategic partnerships

  • You will be responsible for identifying and setting up processes, designing monetization opportunities for new merchants via advertisement partnerships

  • You will champion and streamline self-serve opportunities for merchants in onboarding, and adapting them to the application and ecosystem of Grab

  • You will work with external partners, such as acquisition agents and operating partners in other cities

  • You will drive business analytics to solve issues and optimize the merchant onboarding flow.

  • You will develop, support, and oversee the achievement of the department's strategic goals: improving transacting merchant count, usage of self-serve tools, and advertisement take-up for new merchant

  • You will monitor historical performance, provide actionable feedback for business improvement and collaborate with relevant teams to implement solutions.

Qualifications

The Must-Haves

  • You have Heart, Hunger, Honour and Humility.

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

  • You have 1-3 years of work experience, in a similar role preferably in a relevant field such as sales or business development.

  • You have a good command of written and spoken English and Burmese.

  • You have prior experience in managing sales teams.

  • You have Salesforce & Basic MS office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), experience with Power BI is a plus.

  • You have good communication skills, comfortable working with internal and external teams.

  • You are a highly independent individual with excellent team-working and leadership skills.

The Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience in the food delivery or e-commerce industry would be an advantage.

  • Knowledge of local merchant landscape and trends would be beneficial.
