Get to know our Team:

The Strategy & Projects (S&P) team works with stakeholders across all business functions in Grab to drive continuous improvements and lead special projects. The team is responsible for PMO, generating insights & proposing data-driven strategic initiatives that leverage our ecosystem of Mobility, Deliveries, Groceries, & Digibank.

Get to know the Role:

In this role, you will report to the Director of Country Strategy and will work closely with the Grab Malaysia leadership team. The role is a combination of strategic thinking, cross-functional project management, and new business incubation to drive Grab forward. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing high-impact projects, from planning to execution, in direct contact with senior leaders in the organization.
  • Identifying, sizing, and assessing business growth and business improvement opportunities.
  • Running research and data analysis to derive insights used in problem-solving and decision making.
  • Providing insights-based recommendations for the country leadership team to make informed decisions on strategic planning, budgeting, and target setting.
  • Reporting on market trends and the competitive landscape to support business teams.
  • Coordinating team activities in support of cross-functional strategic execution.

Qualifications

We are looking for an ambitious and self-driven individual who can work well in an uncertain and fast-changing environment. You will need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field - for example, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience - for example, management consulting, project management, strategy, business intelligence, analytics.
  • Excellent analytical abilities, including advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills. You will need to be comfortable drawing insights from complex, large data sets. SQL proficiency is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to define clear objectives, formulate robust hypotheses, and leverage all available resources to design and implement creative solutions.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate stakeholders across functions and levels of seniority.
  • Ability to think about and understand both the big picture and the granular details.
  • Excellent communication in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to present, debate, and influence effectively.
  • Intellectual curiosity, with a knack for challenging the status quo.
  • Ability to work independently.
