Job Description

Get to know the Role:

  • We are seeking a motivated and result-driven Assistant Manager - SEA Strategic Collections to lead and support our Order To Cash (OTC) Regional team in achieving monthly collection targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • As the Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in maximizing the conversion of receivables into cash for the business while ensuring adherence to Grab's policies and processes.
  • As an Assistant Manager - SEA Strategic Collections, you will be part of an exciting journey across multiple ASEAN countries where Grab operates, contributing significantly to the success of our Order To Cash team.

The Day-to-Day Activities

Team Leadership and Supervision:

  • Supervise and support the collections team, providing guidance and training.
  • Monitor team performance, set goals, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Collections Strategy and Management:

  • Develop and implement effective collection strategies and processes.
  • Monitor and analyze collection metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with the Collections Manager to set collection targets and objectives.

Customer Interaction and Issue Resolution:

  • Handle escalated collection issues and disputes.
  • Maintain positive relationships with key customers, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements with customers as necessary.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare regular reports on collection activities, performance metrics, and outstanding receivables.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on analysis.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously evaluate and improve collection processes and systems.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other departments, such as the Sales and billing team, to resolve issues impacting collections.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding collection activities and performance.




  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in collections or credit management
  • Prior experience in supervisory role will be preferred.


  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience with the Oracle Financials Cloud system would be beneficial
  • Experience in data visualization tool, such as PowerBI will be an added advantage.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
