Job Description

Get to know the role

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to develop and maintain scalable backend systems, manage and ensure the accuracy of data, and optimise system performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will specifically handle Geo-IoT big data, efficiently processing and optimising data such as sensor signals, images and videos from IoT devices to leverage it for actionable insights. The Day-to-Day Activities

• You will develop and maintain the backend services of our IoT platform, including but not limited to designing and optimising IoT data storage, data processing, and data distribution strategies.

• You are responsible for designing and optimising backend service APIs, continuously monitor and enhance service stability and performance.

• You will write high-quality, concise, and maintainable code, and maintain relevant technical documentation.

• Communicate and collaborate with placeholders and Product Managers (PM) to discuss technical solutions and requirements.

Qualifications

The Must-Haves

• Solid foundation in data structures and algorithms.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language, with a preference for Go.

• Expertise in common data communication protocols such as HTTPS, MQTT, and RPC.

• Proficiency in databases, including MySQL and PostgreSQL.

• Strong teamwork and learning abilities, with a passion for technology.

• Good command of English, including basic listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
