The People Operations (Pops) team strives to revolutionize human resources the same way that Grab has revolutionized transportation. We serve to find, grow and keep the remarkable assemblage of talent who are our Grabbers. The team aims to provide efficient and effective people services to our Grabbers to drive positive and personalized experiences at every meaningful milestone of their journey with Grab.

Get to know the role

At Grab, we are a fast-paced internet organization that values people and results. We are seeking a resourceful, proactive, and eager-to-learn individual to join our People Operations team. This role is integral to supporting our employees and fostering a proactive, mission-first, high-performance culture.

The Day-to-Day Activities You lead…

  • You will be responsible for formulating people solutions and driving initiatives that matter to the Cluj site to ensure advanced level support to managers and leads.

  • You will work closely with our regional People Experience team to serve Grabbers in Cluj to ensure responsive People services.

  • You will manage efficient onboarding experiences for new hires, ensuring assistance through the whole employee life cycle

  • You will collaborate with the People Experience team on payroll and benefits administration, being a point of contact for local government authorities and processes (including ITM, ANAF, INSSE etc)

  • You will support the local team on providing training on performance management and compensation frameworks.

  • You will also handle disputes and grievances, participate in all required local compliance processes, such as social dialogue

  • You will collaborate with the Tech BP team for talent retention, and develop employee engagement and culture building initiatives.

  • You will analyze learning needs, prepare training plans, and manage local training offers along with global L&D programs implementation.

  • You will collaborate with the PE/Finance team on various Pops/payroll/tax audits, maintain the employee handbook, and update the Regional People Operations and country management team on key people related legislation changes.

  • You will actively engage in employer branding activities, including planning, participation, and delivery.

  • 5+ years in a HR specialist role

  • Solid knowledge of employment law

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels, can manage high state communications and public speakings

  • Self-organized individual with strong time management skills

  • A proactive and impartial team player who possesses the tenacity to meet deadlines and adapt to fast-paced changes

  • Able to thrive in a VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) environment

  • Self motivated, self confident, stress resistant
