Job Description

Get to know our Team:

Unified Configuration Management (UCM) is a critical service at Grab for centrally managing configurations for backend services. It offers a standardized approach to handle configurations across diverse services and supports a template structure and hierarchical configuration, reducing configuration duplication across environments. UCM's design allows developers to build and maintain configurations with minimal effort.

Get to know the Role:

As a Fullstack Engineer on the UCM team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining both the backend and frontend components of the system. You will ensure that all APIs, databases, and user interfaces work smoothly and efficiently. Your role is crucial in delivering a seamless and robust user experience, contributing to both backend and frontend development efforts.

The day-to-day activities:

• Design, develop, and maintain key components of the UCM system, including the SDK, CI/CD pipelines, daemons, UCM UI, and user interfaces.

• Work closely with other engineers to integrate frontend and backend services seamlessly.

• Collect and analyze user feedback, identifying areas for improvement, and prioritize feature development accordingly.

• Implement best practices for web development, ensuring high-quality code and adhering to performance, security, and accessibility standards.

• Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues, implement fixes, and ensure portal stability and performance.

• Implement responsive and user-friendly interfaces.

Qualifications

The must haves:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in both backend and front-end development.

• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React or Angular. React is preferred.

• Familiarity with backend technologies such as Golang, MySQL, and AWS services.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Good verbal English communication skills.

• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
