Job Description

Get to know our Team:

The Team is an integral part of Grab, dedicated to crafting innovative omnichannel solutions tailored for the market. Our goal is to empower merchants to achieve sustainable sales growth both online and offline, while providing consumers with a seamless multichannel retail experience. With a focus on collaboration and strategic partnerships, our team is committed to driving meaningful impact in the ever-evolving landscape of commerce.

Get to know the Role:

We are in search of a dynamic and seasoned professional to take on the role of Head of Omnicommerce and Business Development in the Philippines. As the Head of Omnicommerce and Business Development, you will be at the forefront of shaping Grab's approach to commerce and forging key alliances that drive business growth. You will spearhead the development and implementation of initiatives aimed at serving enterprise, medium, and small businesses.

More specific responsibilities are detailed below –

  • Strategic Planning: Identify, Develop and implement Grab’s business opportunities and omnicommerce strategy in the market to meet the company's overall business objectives. Identify market opportunities, trends, and customer insights to drive growth and revenue.

  • Business Execution: Oversee the execution of omnicommerce initiatives, including partnerships with key stakeholders including business and merchants, product launches, and marketing campaigns. Ensure seamless integration of omnicommerce services within Grab's ecosystem to enhance the merchant and customer experience. Drive the negotiation and execution of partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with Grab's objectives and delivering mutual value to all parties involved.

  • Customer Acquisition and Retention: Develop strategies to acquire new merchants while ensuring high customer satisfaction and retention rates. Set clear pipeline management goals and KPIs for the team across multiple opportunity areas. Consistently seek new avenues for revenue growth and business expansion.

  • Team Management: Lead and inspire a team of professionals responsible for omnicommerce operations, sales, business development and partnerships. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence to drive performance and achieve targets.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with leaders from Country Operations, Technology, Marketing, and other departments to align omnicommerce initiatives with overall company goals. Drive cross-functional projects and initiatives to maximize synergies and efficiency.

  • Performance Monitoring: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the success of omnicommerce initiatives including but not limited to revenue growth, partnership acquisition and retention, customer engagement, and market share expansion.Regularly analyze performance data and provide actionable insights to optimize strategies and drive continuous improvement.

  • Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth by identifying monetization opportunities like advertising and partnerships by leveraging insights, market trends, and consumer behavior data to inform decision-making.

  • Product Development: Provide product input to the design and improve our omnichannel solutions working alongside our Product & Engineering teams

Qualifications

The must haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in e-commerce, omnicommerce, or related industries, with a proven track record of driving business growth and achieving targets
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid proven track record leading B2B sales or general management with experience working with businesses across Southeast Asia
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to translate insights into actionable strategies and initiative
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Deep understanding of the Philippine market landscape, consumer behavior, and industry trends
  • Team Player with the ability to work across a matrix environment in a fast paced environment
  • Experience working in a tech-driven or startup environment is a plus
