Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain our service mesh infrastructure that forms the backbone of our microservice architecture. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing service-to-service communication, data plane, and control plane within a sophisticated cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect, deploy, and manage service mesh infrastructure using technologies such as Istio, Linkerd, Consul, or AWS App Mesh.
  • Work closely with development teams to understand and cater to their service communication needs in a microservices architecture.
  • Implement and manage service discovery, load-balancing, traffic management, and observability within the service mesh.
  • Ensure secure inter-service communication with mutual Transport Layer Security (mTLS) policies and access control.
  • Respond promptly to service interruptions and assist in capacity planning and performance tuning.
  • Proactively monitor service operations to detect and troubleshoot potential issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our DevOps practices.



  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in managing microservices architecture.
  • Familiar with network protocols like HTTP, TCP/IP, and gRPC.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools, infrastructure as code etc.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Java, or Python.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, strong written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to work in a team.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with service mesh technologies like istio, linkerd, consul etc
  • Knowledge and experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native stack and cloud-based environments (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
