Get to know the team

The Deliveries team is a crucial team at Grab Myanmar: it is responsible for the growth of the GrabFood and GrabMart businesses. We make an impact by enabling more earning opportunities for tens of thousands of merchant- and delivery-partners in Myanmar. The Deliveries team is made up of over 30 Grabbers distributed across 3 functions: merchant acquisition, account management, and merchant operations. Get to know the role

This role reports to the Country Head of Myanmar and is responsible for all aspects of the Deliveries business, from strategy to execution, across all cities in which GrabFood operates. This role has direct oversight of the Deliveries commercials, partnerships, sales, merchant acquisitions, and merchant operations. With full ownership of the Deliveries P&L, it also involves close collaboration with key support functions to deliver best-in-class experience for consumers, merchant- and driver-partners. These support functions include Product, Marketing, Marketplace, Supply Operations, and Customer Support.

Business performance & marketplace management

  • You are responsible for the overall merchant and marketplace strategies to maximize the Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) and brand love from merchants, delivery-partners, and consumers.
  • You own the deliveries P&L and make decisions for investments around commission charged to merchants, direct marketing, and promotion and incentive activities for consumers and delivery-partners.
  • The merchant strategy articulates the directions and activities for merchant acquisition, retention, and growth.
  • You support in creating a marketplace management strategy, which will maximize operational efficiencies in supply utilization and demand growth. You work closely with regional product teams to ensure that the strategies are implemented.
  • You are responsible for monitoring the implementations of these strategies and tracking daily performance to be able to make timely adjustments to achieve business targets.

Strategic Partnerships

  • You personally build relationships and secure partnerships with key merchants and partners.
  • You identify key organizations and create opportunities for partnerships that benefit GMV growth or brand love, and lead various cross-functional teams in enabling & executing these partnerships.
  • You guide the team in structuring commercial offers and in crafting negotiation strategies.
  • You work closely with regional teams to retain and grow international F&B brands.

Team management & collaboration

  • You provide close mentoring and guidance to all members of the Deliveries team.
  • You ensure a safe, collaborative, and enjoyable working environment for your team members.
  • You facilitate smooth collaboration with the various support functions such as Product, Marketing, Marketplace, etc.
  • You drive operational efficiency by continuously identifying process improvement opportunities and instilling a continuous improvement mindset to the team.

  • Experience in sales and business development, and leading large sales teams/agents
  • Savvy in influencing, pulling support from, and coordinating various stakeholders
  • Have strong logical, critical and strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to think fast and act fast; work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Showcase an ability to learn quickly and grasp new concepts
  • Knowledgeable of digital marketplaces and large-scale operations
  • Not satisfied with status-quo and have an urge to constantly improve things
