GrabRentals (GR) is responsible for securing vehicular supply for the Grab platform. We strive to be a trustworthy partner that creates income opportunities for our driver-partners by sustainably providing them access to quality assets for use in Grab's marketplaces. To better unlock the value of our assets, a comprehensive fleet management system is required for data analysis.
Job Description
Develop forward looking asset renewal programs, procurement, and negotiation strategies to improve CAPEX spend and asset productivity through data insights
Constantly monitoring the market and identifying opportunities resulting from new product offerings and/or market shifts (e.g. entry or exit of suppliers, changes in pricing, risk on fleet, etc).
Drive and maintain strategic supplier relationships across key vendors to improve future purchases.
Conduct consumer research to understand competitive conditions and identify customers’ needs, resulting in the appropriate vehicle model selection
Structure, propose and implement initiatives to drive utilisation of GrabRentals.
Seeking alternatives to current specifications and demand parameters.
Continually monitoring compliance across the spend and driving corrective action, as necessary.
Support the manager in reviewing policy thinking and COE bid strategy.
General administrative tasks and reports related to vehicle purchase.
Qualifications
Degree holder (preferably in business administration, economics or supply chain)
At least 3 - 5 years of experience in automotive industry or supply chain role
Convincing executive presence, solid spoken and written communication skills including executive level communication / slides.
Excellent numeracy & analytical skills
Ability to work in diverse environments and deal effectively with complex, changing and ambiguous landscapes and adhere to the highest ethical standards.
Commercially astute and with a strong eye for detail.
Proven ability to solve problems and to influence decision making.
Strong negotiation skills.
A driven self-starter; who has the ability to work autonomously and as part of a small team.
