Get to know our Team:

This function operates within the Regional Operations Center of Excellence, primarily focusing on orchestrating enhancement of process and system/ product for backend operations services for driver and merchant partners across markets. We are a team that:

Get to know the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Merchant Onboarding Assistant Manager with primary responsibility to oversee the onboarding and activation of merchant applications within our system efficiently. This individual is expected to ensure a smooth and effective onboarding process for new merchants, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

The day-to-day activities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end process of merchant onboarding, from application receipt to activation in our system, ensuring a seamless integration into our platform.

  • Implement strategies and procedures to improve the onboarding process efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and enhance merchant satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with other departments and teams across all markets of Grab to streamline cross-functional workflows impacting merchant onboarding and activation.

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the onboarding process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to address any issues.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies throughout the onboarding process.

Qualifications

The must haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in operations or a similar field

  • Proven track record of managing and improving processes or similar operational workflows.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals.

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on process optimization.

  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to merchant onboarding and activation is a plus.
