Get to know the Role
As a Senior Analyst / Analyst, Finance Product & Data Integration at Grab, you will have a significant role within our Finance team. In this position, your main responsibilities include consolidation of data from different sources and ensuring it's coherent, which helps in providing a unified view of the data set to finance stakeholders. This involves ensuring data consistency, quality, and accessibility. The role necessitates robust analytical abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the capacity for cross-functional collaboration.
The role requires close engagement with Finance and business teams, to understand their data needs and develop solutions. Collaborate with the Data Engineering team to ensure the robustness and reliability of the data pipeline. Maintain databases and systems, ensuring the integrity and security of all collected data. Conduct audits and quality checks regularly to ensure compliance and data accuracy
The ideal candidate will have an adept understanding of the architectural aspects of business systems and the functional best practices of the teams they support. This role offers a unique opportunity to significantly contribute to Grab's ongoing growth and success.
Tasks include, but are not limited to:
- The role requires developing data integration solutions that match business requirements. The candidate should have the ability to craft SQL scripts, examine source data structures, detect data quality inconsistencies, and devise strategies to tackle data integration obstacles.
- Work closely with finance stakeholders, engineers, and product teams to comprehend the associated business processes and transform these understandings into technical scripts.
- Responsible for designing and deploying data integration solutions, which includes selecting apt data integration tools, developing data mapping, setting up transformation and load (ETL) processes, and constructing data integration workflows.
- The role encompasses requirement analysis along with designing and building financial operational reports or dashboards, including automation of existing reporting procedures.
- Able to provide any technical support to resolve data integration issues, troubleshoots data -related problems.
- In charge of the Finance Operations BAU tasks, especially during the Month End / Year End Close period.
- Guide a team of external consultants to execute system related requests by clearly breaking down a business requirement into actionable steps based on how the system is set up.
Qualifications
The Must-Haves
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related field.
- 3-4 years exposure at minimum in finance operations/data analytics/business intelligence area.
- Must be fluent in SQL language, comfortable diving in messy and scattered data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Exposure in financial reporting, Oracle ERP and data reconciliation is preferred.
- Exposure in VBA, ETL tool, tableau, python is preferred.
- Good communication skills, able to deliver technical communication to the non-technical audience.
- Detail oriented and accurate with numbers.
The Nice-to-Haves
- Understanding of accounting principles & financial theories.
- Familiar with the user interface and navigation of Power BI dashboards.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices.
