Get to know our Team:

The role is part of the Integrity group at Grab, which is responsible for managing trust and safety across the platform. The risk strategy team is responsible for fraud prevention for all the Grab business verticals. This includes

  • User Trust team whose objective is to minimize fraud across all Grab business verticals regionally,
  • Risk Intelligence teams that protect Grab platform by building technologies to tackle reengineered devices, modified apps, competitor scraping and other possible disruption attacks

Get to know the Role:

  • Accountable for Fraud loss and other key Risk metrics for all Grab business verticals regionally.
  • Collaborate, and influence senior stakeholders to implement large scale end-to-end online/offline, strategic and tactical initiatives to enable trusted interaction between Grab and its users (Driver , Passenger, Merchant).
  • Develop strategy, manage resources, and drive prioritization over department level OKR & roadmap (Integrity group) together with other functional leads (Data Science, Analytics, Engineering , Product etc.)
  • A trusted lead on fraud/identity matters, who can build subject matter expertise in SEA region, and can push a robust risk culture in the organization

The day-to-day activities:

  • Understand the business environment and work closely with stakeholders to assess risks and build fraud protection around new product features.
  • Consume data reports and analyses to develop insights of user behaviours or potential risk trends.
  • Translate these insights into risk strategies and roadmaps; Ensure timely delivery and execution of roadmaps from stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Data Science, Marketing, Policy Strategy, Product Management, and Customer Experience teams to build fraud detection engine, improve risk system functionalities, and optimise processes & workflows.
  • Update senior management regularly on the teams' progress and highlight any bottlenecks on achieving the objectives.


The must haves:

  • Bachelor's degree or professional qualification in any discipline.
  • At least 3 years of relevant industry experience;
  • Experience in managing senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, detail-oriented, and efficient time management skills are essential.
  • Strong competency in managing project rollouts, implementing enforcement changes, or setting up operational processes.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Familiarity with setting up reporting metrics; Knowledge of Excel, SQL, or Tableau is advantageous.
