Company Description

You will be part of the team behind Singapore’s well-loved food site HungryGoWhere, which publishes the latest food news, reviews and recommendations. As a content creation intern, you will support the HungryGoWhere editorial team and have the opportunity of putting together compelling content on the burgeoning F&B scene in Singapore — from food guides and recommendations, to reviews and human interest stories.

We are looking to hire an intern for our team. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in learning the ropes of food writing and content creation, and generating content to captivate audiences.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Pitch and develop stories such as food guides, trend pieces, news and human interest stories, and put these articles together through interviews and research. Take photos to accompany the articles where needed
  • Create video content for HungryGoWhere’s social channels
  • Chase leads in the F&B sector and evaluate food-related news tip-offs for possible stories
  • Prepare the articles (with images, where applicable) for publication on the website and help in the management of social media
  • Pursue other stories, features and duties assigned by the editorial team

Qualifications

The must-haves

  • Mass communication, journalism, or arts and social sciences undergraduate or diploma student, with a keen interest in food
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to think and work fast, and respond quickly to sudden content needs and changes, often to tight deadlines
  • Being comfortable in front or behind the camera is a plus.
