The People Analytics Team (PAN) covers the unique convergence of analytical reasoning, deep technical skills and soft sciences of human behavior and organizational psychology. We are interested in the application of analytical methods to quantify, diagnose and elevate real-world problem solving with data-driven insights in support of building a world-class, high performing people culture at Grab. The PAN team directly engages with cross-functional stakeholders across our People Operations, business teams and senior leadership. We cover a wide span of organizational and people subjects including but not limited to recruitment, engagement, culture, performance, growth, and departures.
Get to know the Role
As a People Analytics Intern, you will be challenged with tasks including but not limited to:
Wrangling with large datasets to effectively transform raw data into useful outputs.
Performing analyses to translate data into meaningful people and organizational insights.
Building data visualizations for effective data storytelling and messaging.
Acquiring and transforming custom data sources through a variety of tools, including SQL, Python and PowerBI.
Building data products and/or decision-guiding analytical tools, including but not limited to dashboards, web applications and chatbots.
The Day-to-Day Activities:
Domain: Learn about real-world applications of social psychology, organizational development and behavioural science. Understand various HR functions across Grab, what we do and how data and analytics can elevate impact.
Technical (Hard) Skills: Hands-on exposure to Python, SQL, data visualization, programming, and - if you’re up for it - web applications and chatbots!
Soft Skills: Effective communication, storytelling, project management and working with stakeholders.
Diploma, undergraduate students—all welcomed.
Preferably an academic background in a quantitative field, including but not limited to Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Data Science, Analytics, Economics or Social Research.
Interested in or familiar with psychology, behavioural science, and/or HR fields.
Familiar with Python and SQL. Experience with building web applications or data products is a plus. Also, open to candidates who have hands-on exposure to programming but without a formal academic background.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Passionate about problem-solving and working with people.
Full-time or part-time internships are welcomed.
