The Growth Planning team provides leadership, strategic direction, and vision for the broader organisation focusing on achieving key business priorities while ensuring effective & efficient growth efforts. The team functions as Grab’s planning and strategic arm overseeing long-term focus areas, current prioritizations and appropriateness of efforts across functions (Business, Marketing Operations, Analytics, Product, etc.).
Get to know the Role:
The role is a balance of advanced analytics and stakeholder management
You will unlock new growth opportunities by thinking strategically and long-term about the complex business needs of both consumers and other customers we serve
Gain actionable insights while leading coordination with business and functional leaders on both the demand and supply growth
You will operate effectively across functional lines and teams to identify and execute on new opportunities in anticipation of future business needs
The day-to-day activities:
Lead the annual OKR planning process, subsequently translating it into actionable growth initiatives in collaboration with regional and local functional teams
Support the quarterly marketing planning process via defining growth hypotheses
Monthly key metrics tracking and analysis, with deep dives as and when required
Conceptualising growth initiatives and experiments to drive user growth, adoption and engagement
Develop and communicate strategic insights, tools and standardized frameworks in support of Grab’s growth activities
Share best practices across the growth organisation and functional partners
Participate in the integration and alignment of growth plans to business priorities and objectives
Work on special projects or major project workstreams related to Grab’s growth strategy, and / or relevant corporate initiatives
Work with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management, other executives, functional, or regional management while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization
The must haves:
2+ years of experience in management consulting or strategy & planning workstreams
Confident in generating growth insights by inferring from a series of complex data sets as well as by utilising an effective understanding of the relevant business verticals
Ability to articulate complex analyses to a wide range of audiences, and translating these to actionable insights
Ability to see big picture while not losing sight of details
A start-up attitude – willing to work hard to get things done
The good to haves:
Worked with or in consumer technology firms
Payments or retail banking experience advantageous
Intermediate knowledge of data visualization & dashboard building using Tableau or PowerBI
Working knowledge of SQL
Proficiency in a Southeast Asian language
