Get to know the Role:
We are looking for a Regional Category Procurement Assistant Manager to help lead some of the Indirect categories in Grab. The day-to-day activities:
You are responsible for shaping and executing Category Strategy for:
Marketing Services (Creative, Production, BTL & events)
Professional Services focusing on Consulting & taxation
You will collaborate with regional business teams in identifying opportunities for spend effectiveness and cost efficiencies while balancing our need for speed to market Vs Compliance
You will co-create category/sub-category strategy (including formulating the sourcing approach) and align the strategy with business stakeholders
For key projects, you will lead regional sourcing with high degree of procurement technical competency, including but not limited to : issues and opportunity assessment, spend and supply base review, cost/benefit analysis, RFx (RFI/RFP/RFQ) process mastery and commercial model and contract review
For region wide projects, you will collaborate with Country Procurement Leads in operationalising Category strategies
You are accountable for delivery of procurement savings for your categories across the region
You will have to familiarize and champion Grab Procurement Principles & Processes through business partner engagements. eg running trainings, sharing best practices on topics of Procurement & related processes such as Contracting, InfoSec, Data Privacy and etc
By continuously making business impacts, it is expected that this role elevates the Procurement’s role among stakeholder groups to become key advisers when solving business problem spaces.
The must haves:
Heart: You are resourceful and adaptable to change. Multiple exposures of VUCA environments will be advantageous, excellent interpersonal and communication skills is needed
Honour: You take pride in your ability to build strong business / stakeholder relationships with a high level of trust and integrity
Hunger: You are an experienced procurement professional with proven track record(at least 2 yrs) in managing the above-mentioned categories at a regional or sub-regional level
You have a solid know-how of procurement fundamentals from sourcing to contracting to PR/PO
Humility: You lead by doing, forging a career of servant leadership
