The Partner Communications Department is responsible for making sure that communications to our merchant-partners (ie. restaurants, online sellers, and shops in GrabFood/GrabMart/GrabExpress) are effective, relevant, and understood through different channels and mediums. You will get a chance to work directly with progressive thinkers from different operational and marketing departments and help shape the audience’s journey in our platform.
Get to know the Role
The Merchant Engagement Specialist will handle end-to-end communication for our merchant-partners including:
1. Merchant communications across all comms channels- You will be responsible for determining narrative, and creating communications and campaigns across different digital channels (ie. SMS, Grab Merchant App, e-mail, third-party messaging app, social media) about various topics
2. Merchant online community- You will co- manage and maintain the official Facebook Merchant Community.
3. Merchant lifecycle communications- Part of shaping the audience journey is through lifecycle step-by-step comms that guides the merchant-partner throughout their lifecycle stage and maturity.
4. Merchant engagement- Together with ops and marketing teams be it local or regional, you will be mounting/producing engagement events for merchant-partners. Be it via online conference, online forums, face-to-face events, or a white paper on how merchants can grow their business through Grab.
You will collaborate closely with the Account Management team, Marketing, GrabFood, GrabExpress, and other verticals to craft messages, campaigns, and communications for merchant-partners through different communications channels and ensure messaging is clear and effective.
The Day-to-Day Activities
Manage merchant communications requests/campaigns and delivery. Can meet tight deadlines, and must be keen to details.
Work closely and efficiently as a team with marketing, operations, creative and marketing colleagues to ensure the work/campaign are delivered on time and on brief.
Support local campaigns and communication needs for different projects (ad-hoc or otherwise).
Crafting narrative and messaging to deliver clear and impactful communications and campaigns.
Crafting clear and well-written messages quickly.
Deliver copy/communications that are actionable, influence behavior and move metrics.
Finalize and proofread content, suitable for publishing.
Ensure that the messaging, narrative and tonality is in line with Grab’s Brand Guidelines.
Implement and publish communications/campaigns through various tools and medium (in-app, SMS, social media, blog, etc).
Engaging merchant-partners through different channels, activities, and initiatives.
Partner will regional safety and other local teams in creating training materials and content that’s relevant for our merchant-partners.
Partner with insights and data analytics and other departments to build automated communications in all stages of the life cycle.
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or any 4-year related course.
With relevant work experience in content production and content management.
Knowledgeable in content marketing, (digital) marketing, mobile marketing, and launching campaigns.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Fluent in speaking, writing in both Filipino and English language.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
Excellent time management skills. Proactive and self-starters, and has a high degree of personal responsibility.
Enjoy working as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft/Google productivity tools.
Familiar with WordPress CMS preferred but not required.
Expert knowledge of spelling, punctuation, syntax and grammar rules.
Comfortable hitting project deadlines.
Value constructive criticism.
Comfortable multi-tasking as a key player on a variety of projects (if necessary.)
Handle themselves in a pleasant, personable manner (in-person, phone, and email.)
