The GrabFood Strategy team is one of the core functions that strategically drive Grab delivery businesses. As a Merchant Empowerment team, under the Grabfood Strategy team, we are responsible for transforming big datasets into practical recommendations and helping key stakeholders plan and execute their business strategies effectively. We are the thinking partner, the consultant, and the expert for operational improvement for internal teams. Our impacts are significant, ranging from helping merchants grow more sales through our products and campaigns, to innovatively curating the best offers and eating experiences for our customers. Get to know the Role

We are looking for a Grabfood Merchant Empowerment Associate with excellent operation improvement skills and growth mindset to initiate, supervise, or manage merchant-related operation flows for projects that are the pillars of GrabFood’s business. Your scope will be a balance of operation improvement, data analytics, and project management, where you will work closely with key stakeholders to understand the business directions and operational requirements, and provide operation flows that efficiently move the projects towards success, while ensuring optimal cost-efficiency, productivity, and seamless user experiences.

The Day-to-Day Activities

  • Act as an Operational Excellence Center to initiate, supervise, and manage merchant-related operation flows and implementation plans, evaluate the success, cost effectiveness, and user journeys, and come up with recommendations for improvements

  • Deep dive, analyze, and turn live data into meaningful insights, and transform insights into practical recommendations for operational improvements, including increasing productivity and reducing overall operation costs

  • Lead the execution recommendations to key stakeholders, and ensure that all resources utilization is highly efficient and that all projects are completed in a timely manner Collaborate closely with country and regional teams to develop and plan for experiments and roll out new features and initiatives that improve business performance and efficiency Provide strategic training sessions and materials to related stakeholders, including KAM and sales team, on project implementation plan, operation flows, or product features.

The Must-Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or in a relevant field with a strong academic track record

  • 1 - 2 years of work experience in financial services, management consulting, technology firms, or fast-paced working environment in strategy, business development, or operation management. Fresh grads with highly relevant experiences will be considered

  • Solid operation planning, management, and improvement skills, with an attention to detail and structure

  • Excellent PMO, communications, and presentation skills, with good English proficiency

  • Proficiency in Excel/ is required, experience with SQL/R/Python is a plus

  • Passion to solve problems, with strong quantitative, creative, data analysis and project management skills

  • Flexibility, passion, and energy to excel in a fast-paced team environment, while also being able to work independently
