The Technical Learning team is a high-performing team of passionate, fun-loving, and hardworking individuals with varied backgrounds. Our mission is to empower Tech Grabbers to succeed in their roles by being a center of excellence through a centralized platform for technical documentation and self-help learning, developing an engagingly robust onboarding and enablement experience for our engineers.

Get to Know the Role

We are looking for a Technical Content Developer who loves to learn and communicate information clearly, concisely, and accurately. As a content developer, you play a crucial hands-on role in building a knowledge management culture across the technical families at Grab. In this role, you will plan, develop, and drive the execution of tech onboarding and training initiatives that have a tremendous impact on the engineers in the organization.

The Day-to-Day Activities:

  • Work closely with engineers to create clear and concise technical documentation for internal engineering platforms.

  • Manage technical documentation across teams and support Documentation-as-Code initiatives.

  • Identify user pain points and business needs to assess documentation and training requirements.

  • Create training materials for technical onboarding and enablement.

  • Support in establishing a strong technical documentation culture transforming Grab engineering into an active knowledge-sharing organization.

  • Evangelize Grab’s technical brand by driving blog creation (and publishing) both internally and externally.

  • Copyedit, proofread and validate documentation written by others with diligent testing.

  • Support in managing technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and on-demand learning initiatives, and constantly find ways of improving processes in a data-driven manner.

  • Help drive and review the overall team strategy and tactics, helping improve Grab’s documentation and learning culture.

  • Manage project schedule, identify risk, and clearly communicate goals to project stakeholders.

The Must-Haves:

  • You have 2+ years of experience in technical writing, product documentation, or other related fields.

  • You have experience working directly with development teams, obtaining information through research and interviews, and testing and validating documentable features and concepts.

  • You have some working knowledge of documentation-as-code.

  • You are knowledgeable of SDLC, software technologies, infrastructure, microservices, or Git.

  • You showcase a passion for continuous learning and customer engagement/enablement initiatives.

  • You showcase a self-starter attitude – willing to work hard and take initiative to get things done in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.

  • You showcase an outstanding problem-solving ability and a demonstration of enthusiasm, initiative, and the ability to learn fast.

  • You are experienced with multiple stakeholders across various functional teams.

The Nice-to-Haves

  • You have expertise with development tools and developer documentation is desired.

  • You have a solid understanding of information hierarchies and content strategy.

  • You have experience with employee onboarding or enablement programs.

  • You are collaborative, creative, empathetic, and curious, with a proactive and open-minded attitude to resolving problems and delivering results.

  • You are an experienced marketer, graphic designer, and video editor would be an advantage.
