The Communications is responsible for building the systems and rails that connect our business units to our end users. With end to end visibility and attribution of engagement on our platform this team is uniquely positioned to provide real time insights into the best communication techniques to drive short term business impact and long term retention of our users to the platform. Our team is made up of multiple teams across product, engineering, design, data science, analytics, and business. We are looking for experienced individuals who are user-centric and data-driven, able to think holistically and creatively, communicate well, and are great team players. We like creative hustlers, people who can think outside the box, influence, and get stuff done even if it seems impossible. We work fast, push the boundaries, and try new things. Sometimes they don’t work, so we embrace learning from failures and a culture of lifelong learning.

Get to know the Role

We are looking for an engineering leader to take work with the engineering and cross-functional team and drive end-end impact for our in house communication capabilities. 

The Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop and maintain Android applications for voice calling, messaging & chat with a focus on performance and user experience. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhancements. 

• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables. 

• Drive the adoption of best practices and modern technologies for mobile development with a deep focus on extensible & modular architecture for the apps.

• Stay on the leading edge of technical know-how, industry trends, management approaches, and create an environment of always learning and always innovating.

The Must-Haves

• You have Heart, Hunger, Honour and Humility 

• At least 5 years of experience in advanced software engineering driving organizations on Android and preferably in communication related domains.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Expert level in Android development using both Java and Kotlin.

• Expert level in modern mobile and server coding and design practices. For example, VIPER, MVVM, MVP, SOLID principals, and TDD.
